determine what to do next - i.e. chorus should be twice as long....or
......that verse SUCKS.....)

Bandits"......let's face it folks, there's not a lot out there that grown
people can see. But I liked this. Billy Bob Thornton can always make me
laugh. I also love Bruce and Kate. It's just a fun film.
Reading
The Lord of the Rings" J.R.R. Tolkien (still)
"Crying Wolf" Peter Abrahams
National Geographic Magazine
I just flew on a commercial airline four times within a one-week period.
The security was not as stringent as I expected but there are noticeable
changes.
Change is good.
Improvements are good.
Sometimes making new rules is just what's needed. Since we're moving
into a phase of realizing the merits of employing new regulations and
safety measures, I'd like to propose a few new rules of my own............
1) Any woman who looks like a clown exploded on her face, should NOT
be allowed to work at the Cosmetics Counter in MACY'S.
2) Every little kid who has to wear glasses, should get a puppy. (Really
thick glasses, gets a puppy AND a kitten)
3) Any man who thinks "Due Process" means "going number 2", should NOT
be allowed to possess firearms.
4) When a person smiles at you on the street, just because they feel like
being friendly.......if you don't smile back, they get to punch you.
5) All canned fruit should be banned.
6) Make that raisins as well.
7) Littering should be punishable by death.
8) Any household with indoor plants and pets should be entitled to additional
tax-breaks.
9) Any Sport Utility Vehicles spotted with either non-muddied hubcaps
or fewer than 23 people in them, should be stiffly fined.
10) All Catholic nuns who teach small children, should be required to
shave.
11) Pelicans should be given endangered species status, whether they are
or not.
12) Anyone who's ever considered generic brand, puffed-rice with Carnation
Instant Milk, a perfectly fine breakfast, should be prohibited from adopting.
13) All workers who stay at their jobs 30 minutes longer every other day,
should receive free passes to their local movie theaters.
14) All independent, income-generating musicians and artists who make
less than $30,000 a year, should have automatic health-care/insurance.
(just thought I'd sneak that one in)
15) Any person who tries to block seats on commuter-type buses (either
by putting their bags on it or by trying to fake sleeping), should be
penalized by being locked in the bathroom for the duration of their trip-
OR by being re-seated next to the guy eating a day-old Pastrami with Onions
on Rye sandwich.
16) This Spring-time "set your clocks ahead" bullshit should be permanently
abolished.
17) All grown-ups should be required to take ONE nap a day at the time
of their choice.
18) Anyone caught with sub-woofers installed in the trunks of their cars,
should be sentenced to 3 weeks' community service, as the personal assistant
to Mickey Dolenz with the Monkees' Reunion Tour.
19) Only those people who can remember all of the greatest jokes should
be appointed ambassadorships to foreign countries. (must have their own
fake-vomit)
20) All Star Trek films should retro-actively be given Academy Awards.
Please send your comments/complaints/praises to Happy, by emailing Kenneth@auntiesocialmusic.com.
Ken is a newcomer.....totally hip to the Hap. All mail and email goes
promptly to Happy, after being scrutinized by the FBI. (said in the voice
of Hannibal Lechter)
On a more realistic note, I will speak a little about the album. I've
tracked much of the vocals at this point. This whole thing is being done
differently than I've ever done before. Some of you have heard live versions
of "Here and Hereafter", "Can't Let Go" , One and Many" and "The Chosen
One"......Well, I have completed 3 of those four songs. I decided after-the-fact
however, that the lead vocal for "Can't Let Go" isn't quite what I want,
so I'll go back and re-sing that one. I haven't decided about the artwork
just yet. I had wanted a particular thing but now that I have $0.00 for
a budget, I can't fathom how it can be achieved. Frankly, I don't know
how it could've been done with scads of money. So I ponder on it still.
I feel like saying "sorry" to you all because I feel I'm letting you
down.....me as well. It has been a long wait for new music. It's coming
together now but not without pain. This has been the hardest time of my
life and it's duly reflected in the music. One of the things that gives
me faith is knowing that you have faith. Thank you - All of you.
