NEWS (March 2001)

Happy has just finished recording two songs for the next "Meridian" album by Percy Howard. There isn't any word on a release date for that, but you might want to check in later for more info.

There is a multimedia show taking place on March 22, 23, 24 and 25 in Brooklyn, NY by an artist named Eric Nicolas. Eric is a good friend of Happy's and she has agreed to do some backing vocal work for the live shows. She also composed the pre-show electronic music that underscores the video. For more information on that show, email Eric Nicolas or contact me ken@auntiesocialmusic.com. Happy has also done some vocal work for Eric on his new release, "Amnesty".

Let's not forget the big show coming up on June 9th at the Kuumbwa in Santa Cruz, CA. Happy will be playing an 80 minute set, with 3 other band members. For further information, go to the EctoFest West website. Also, she has hopes of being able to appear at the East Coast EctoFest this year, but if she can't make it, you must still check it out. The line-up is starting to take shape and you won't want to miss it. For details on that event, go to the EctoFest website.

There is also another collaborative project for Happy in the works. It's too soon to name names, as things sometimes fall through. But another Happy tune may appear this Summer on another label's release. We will keep you posted as it develops.

Happy is currently looking for management. While I can handle the general stuff, she is at a point where someone else needs to be working for her. If anyone has any suggestions, please email me ken@auntiesocialmusic.com.

Happy's good friends, Bon Lozaga and Hansford Rowe have asked her to join in with their Spring tour. Unfortunately, time constraints have forced her to decline this time. But she encourages you all to check out their trio, which is touring in May. For details, go to the official LoLo Records website.

Finally, Happy begins the live tracking for her album this month in NYC and in her Upstate studio. She says that this album has a water theme......she said "...think Titanic.."???? I guess we'll find out soon enough.
