HAPPY AND SAMSON SPLIT
Happy and her most recent label, Samson Music are parting company. Happy had a good run with them, having signed her contract in late 1997. She released Many Worlds Are Born Tonight for Samson and it is to date, her favorite album..... ‹This is the album that comes closest to the sound I‰d been looking for since I was 17.Š She had already been working on her next project when the decision to separate was made. So the plan according to Happy is: ‹.......I‰m going to finish this record and unless something extraordinary happens, release it myself.Š Happy says she may still shop it around a little, but that at this time, hooking up with another label doesn‰t carry the weight it once did.

HAPPY TOURS WITH PROJECT LO
For those not in the know, Project Lo is a gathering of talented musicians (headed by Bon Lozaga) who have gotten together to record two CDs and perform live. The compositions on the Project Lo CDs are mostly Bon Lozaga‰s. Happy was asked to do a couple of songs on his Black Canvas CD. She sang a cover of Peter Gabriel‰s ‹Mercy StreetŠ and Bon Lozaga‰s ‹PerfectionŠ. Last year, she toured with Bon and Hansford Rowe in support of the CD. This year Bon got everyone together again for another tour. The lineup this time was Happy, Bon, Hansford Rowe and Vic Stevens. They did songs from each members‰ CDs. Happy performed two brand new songs called "Can't Let Go" and "One And Many". The dates were as follows:
October 4th - Waterbury, CT ">Brass City Records, 489 Meadow St. 203-574-7805 - (8pm show)
October 5th - New York City The Knitting Factory (2 shows, 8pm and 10pm)
October 6th - Philadelphia, PA ">The Tin Angel
October 8th - Washington D.C. Metro Cafe, 1522 14th St. NW, 202-588-9118 (9pm show)

ECTOFEST 2000
Happy played the festival called Ectofest for the 2nd time since its inception. It was started and continues through the efforts of Meredith Tarr and Chuck Stipak. The name of course, comes from Happy‰s fourth CD, titled Ecto. That‰s also what the mailing list dedicated to discussion of all things Happy is called (www.smoe.org/ecto). Happy played nylon string guitar and was accompanied by none other than Bon Lozaga on electric guitar. She had done a full band set last year, but this year decided to keep it simple. Also, the charities for which these festivals are meant to benefit (Interfaith Aids Ministry and Women‰s Center) didn‰t make any money last year due to concert expenses. This year Happy didn‰t want band member salaries to have to come out of the proceeds and that contributed to her decision to keep it simple. It rained a little on and off, but great fun was had by all. For more information and highlights, go to www.ectofest.org.
